Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT)

Boston Logan International Airport

Located 49 miles southeast of Manchester, Logan Airport offers domestic service to 76 destinations. Highways

Manchester sits at the center of the region's state and interstate highway system. I-93 and US 3 offer two convenient highway access alternatives to Boston and to the I-95 (Rte 128) corridor to the south. I-93 also connects Manchester to popular attractions in the north such as the White Mountains and Lake Winnipesaukee as well as to I-89 providing access to Vermont and the Canadian province of Quebec. NH Route 101 leads eastwards to the New Hampshire Seacoast and the state of Maine.

Public Transportation

The Manchester Transit Authority operates bus service throughout Manchester and provides connections to Nashua and Concord. Additionally, the MTA operates the Green Dash, a free shuttle that runs from the Millyard area through Downtown. 

Freight

Manchester is served by the Boston and Maine Railroad. Motor freight service to all points is available from a number of nationally known transport companies, and daily express service is maintained to all major cities within a 200-mile radius as well as New York City. United Parcel Service, Airborne Express, and Federal Express provide daily small package air freight service from the Manchester - Boston Regional Airport and have invested millions of dollars in increasing ramp, sorting, and distribution capabilities in Manchester. The Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is New England's third-largest cargo airport.

New Hampshire's Seaport

Portsmouth is home to the Port of New Hampshire and is just 45 minutes east of Manchester. The deep-water port is open year-round and is the site of the state-operated marine terminal, which can handle vessels up to 700 feet in length. The Portsmouth port is a federally designated Foreign Trade Zone.

The Port of Boston is one of the most modern and efficient container ports in the U.S.. It handles more than 1.3 million tons of general cargo, 1.5 million tons of non-fuels bulk cargo, and 12.8 tons of bulk fuel cargo annually.
